Firewire Adapter For Mac
At a guess, if you're talking about Firewire then yes there is one. Apple makes one. Don't know if it works. $64. yes-you are indeed right. there are different kinds of Firewire plugs-standard one (sideways U shaped), Firewire 400 (4 pin) and Firewilre 800 (dunno) . My suggestion to you would be to take a picture of the soundcard's plug, take it with you to the store, and ask the person there :' I want an adapter that will do Thunderbolt to this' and then show him/her the picture. If he/she is smart and experienced enough (and they probably are) they can recognize what kind of firewire socket you have and if there's a thunderbolt adapter for it, or if you can make it work somehow. There's also the option of a Thunderbolt dock which has Firewire ports built into it (among other ones)

Having been acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2008 (which then became part of Oracle in 2010), it’s a commercially supported, open-source project (somewhat like CrossOver Mac), but it’s a well-respected, major virtualization product (like VMware). The standard one-year subscription is periodically substantially discounted, so watching for discounts (or negotiating for volume licensing) can provide cost savings. The next version, CrossOver Mac 17, is due to be released this autumn and will be built on Wine 2.8, will be compatible with macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and will support Microsoft Office 2016 (which the current version does not). And it has some of the pros and cons of each. At a glance CrossOver Mac 16.2.5Pros: Simple; small footprint; low cost; no need for Windows licensesCons: Supports only some Windows applications; minimal management toolsBest use: For a relatively small number of users, using a fairly small and well-defined set of Windows apps that have been tested to install and run under CrossOver MacVirtualBox is the odd duck in this list, in a way. Richard Hoffman/IDGVirtualBox can do almost anything the commercial products can do, and the price (for the core package) is right. Vmware fusion for windows.
Firewire Cable Types For Mac
I have a couple of Seagate Backups+ drives that came USB 3.0 enabled. But Seagate sells an adapter that swaps out the drives' USB 3.0 interface for a Firewire 800 interface. Because these are larger drives I have in continuous use, I bought the Firewire adapters, and they nearly doubled the transfer speed to these drives. Don't have to restart your computer: Another feature of FireWire is the ability to plug and unplug hardware without having to restart your PC or Mac. What is the difference between FireWire 400 and FireWire 800? Originally released in the FireWire 400 format in 1996, a commonly used cable now is FireWire 800.
